NTRODUCTION
Casagrande S.p.A. ranks at the forefront of international markets and specializes in the
design and manufacturing of machines for piles, diaphragm wall systems, drilling, anchoring,
micro piles, and jet grouting, as well as special equipment for tunnel consolidation.
To this end, since 1994, the company has been developing and implementing a Quality
Management System ISO 9001:2015, serving as a foundational tool for systematically
meeting both customer-mandated quality standards and internally established strategic
growth targets.
Furthermore, starting in 2023, Casagrande has decided to implement an Environmental
Management System according to ISO 14001:2015, as a means to ensure the assessment
and management of the impacts of its activities on the environment.
These adopted Management Systems are communicated to the personnel, and the Company
ensures their adequate dissemination and understanding at all organizational levels. Within
these Systems, Casagrande has defined an integrated Quality and Environmental Policy, the
foundational principles of which are outlined below.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Regarding the Quality Management System, the general guidelines that the Top Management of the Company intends to achieve and maintain over time are as follows:
Systematically seek customer satisfaction by offering products and services that meet
expected requirements, exploring and monitoring it through the assessment of expectations and evaluations of supplies and support services.
Ensure compliance with required, explicit, and implicit product and service requirements,
as well as adherence to contracted conditions.
Continuously reduce complaints to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty while improving Casagrande’s image.
Support the evolution and technological innovation of products to enhance performance,
with the aim of anticipating and meeting identified or perceived market expectations.
Promote training, education, and ongoing development of Casagrande personnel to
enhance their competence, motivation, and potential.
Minimize non-conformities and any deficiencies, identifying their root causes for elimination through corrective and preventive actions, with the goal of achieving compliance
with requirements and limiting the cost of “non-quality.”
Ensure effective and efficient customer support by promoting a local support network and
ensuring the implementation and timeliness of services.
Design and implement improvement actions in terms of the effectiveness and efficiency of
the Quality Management System.
Establish measurable and achievable annual targets for quality indicators, disclosing
them throughout the company and periodically reviewing them
Ensure compliance with mandatory requirements.
To this end, emphasizing that all personnel in the company have a role to play in generating
corporate quality, Casagrande deems it essential for all internal functions at all levels to
coordinate and intensify their efforts for a more comprehensive and accurate approach to the
Quality System. They should embrace the general guidelines outlined above and support Top
Management in pursuing the following objectives:
Review the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with the requirements of
ISO 9001:2015.
Consolidate and expand Casagrande’s product range based on market demand,
sustainable in terms of resources, cost-competitive through appropriate modularity, and
meeting the quality and performance requirements recognized by customers.
Pursue and review methodologies and tools for managing non-conformities and complaints
with a focus on continuous improvement.
Engage in supplier selection and evaluation with the aim of fostering collaboration
and involvement to enhance products and services in compliance with technical and
contractual requirements.
Commit to Continuous Training, both internally and externally, by offering educational
services to customers as well.
Strive for product compliance with mandatory regulations and the establishment of
technical files in accordance with applicable legislation.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Regarding the Environmental Management System, the focus and assessment of its direct
and indirect impacts throughout the various stages of the product life cycle, as well as
compliance with regulatory requirements, represent the core aspects of the system. These
aspects have been developed in coherence with the following principles:
Analyze the organization’s context, including the nature, size, and environmental impacts
of its activities.
Commit to environmental protection by preventing pollution and reducing the impacts
associated with its activities.
Pursue climate mitigation and adaptation, resulting in a reduction of environmental impact.
In line with these fundamental principles, aiming for continuous improvement and in pursuit of
established goals, Casagrande sets the following objectives:
Operate in compliance with all applicable national, regional, and local regulatory
requirements, present and future, of environmental legislation, by adopting design, facility,
and management solutions that ensure legal compliance.
Actualize objectives and action programs, ensuring the availability of the necessary
financial resources for implementing planned improvement actions, and defining tools for
their verification and measurement to enhance environmental performance.
Ensure the use of sustainable resources wherever possible, climate mitigation, and
adaptation during various stages of design, production, distribution, and servicing of the
manufactured machinery.
Evaluate the suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the Management System in accordance
with ISO 14001:2015, and achieve improvement objectives through periodic Management
reviews.
Operate through rational and efficient use of energy resources and monitoring of
consumption.
Optimize waste cycles and waste collection.
Train staff in identifying and reducing environmental impacts, promoting a widespread
sense of environmental responsibility at all levels.
Mitigate environmental risks by preventing pollution and ensuring the containment of any
incidental incidents.
CONCLUSIONS
The integrated Quality and Environmental Policy and the framework of defi ned objectives
are communicated to all personnel, ensuring that everyone is informed and that the content
is understood and supported at all levels of the company.
Everyone is called upon to collaborate in making this Policy active, understandable, and
improvable, each contributing with their own skills and abilities.
The sense of responsibility and the commitment to continuous improvement in the implementation
of aspects related to both Management Systems are integral parts of each employee’s role,
becoming one of the company’s main strengths.
To this end, Top Management declares that the implementation of strategies and the
achievement of the objectives outlined in this document are their direct responsibility. They
pledge to personally intervene to ensure that the criteria and principles governing the
adopted, approved, and documented Quality and Environmental Management Systems are
consistently implemented and adhered to.
